All very good questions considering our introduction to yoga in the west is often much different than the way the Ashtanga Method is taught. At least mine was.
What I want to achieve in this post is just to explain how the Ashtanga method works so you will have a clear understanding to make your own decisions.
The intention is not to get into a discussion of why one method is better or worse.
