Sharath Jois Organic Yoga Rug [Limited Edition & Quantity]

These rugs are special edition larger size (in limited quantity) specifically designed by Sharath Jois (read below)

THE BACKSTORY

When I was practicing at KPJAYI with my Ekaminhale rugs Sharath noticed the quality and asked if I could help make some for the students in Mysore.

It was pretty cool from my perspective since he had much knowledge from not only practice of course but from the history of yoga rugs in our practice.

Things like how they first got made. 

He told me some of the first yoga rugs were actually made in the Mysore prison but took over 2 years to get. 

We worked together to get these ones made in the same way Ekaminhale ones are done...hand-loomed by weavers in South India. If you want to know that story you can read here.

Sharath wanted the rugs slightly wider so when they were washed and dried they still covered a regular yoga mat.

The rugs are 3 centimeters wider on each side

He also chose these colors below.

I thought it would be good to offer the new size and color's here in North America so I arranged to have a limited amount sent over.
