For anyone who has enjoyed the practice of Ashtanga Yoga these two words will sound very familiar. After the opening mantra has been chanted, the count of Ekam (sanskrit for one) and then inhale is spoken as you raise your arms and begin the first posture, Surya Namaskara A. Like the first sutra of Patajanali's Yoga Sutra, Atha yoga anushasanam (now the teachings of yoga), we begin our asana practice with Ekam Inhale. Inhaling and exhaling in our own body, two opposites coming together and allowing us to go inward.

Ekaminhale was born out of this inspiration.
